The SMart Center is expanding and seeking licensed mental health professionals to join our team as part-time consultants. This is a unique opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, missiondriven environment while developing advanced clinical expertise, including specialization in Selective Mutism and social communication anxiety.
We are seeking clinicians who value collaboration, flexibility, and the delivery of thoughtful, individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
TREATMENT APPROACH AT THE SMart CENTER:
Clinicians at the SMart Center utilize Social Communication Anxiety Treatment® (S-CAT®), a CBT-based, whole-person, evidence-informed approach that conceptualizes Selective Mutism as a social communication anxiety disorder and emphasizes building comfort, engagement, and functional communication across settings. Training in S-CAT® is provided.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
- Licensed Psychologists (PhD or PsyD)
- Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Treat Selective Mutism and the various factors/diagnoses contributing to Selective Mutism
- Conduct sessions in person and via telehealth
- Participate in CommuniCamp™ Programs
- Conduct Selective Mutism Evaluations (SMEs)
- Provide individual Intensives and ongoing psychotherapy
- Participate in School Consultations and collaborate with educational teams
- For Psychologists: Conduct psychological evaluations and complete comprehensive reports
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Experience with Selective Mutism preferred, or willingness to learn (training provided)
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Availability for evening and/or weekend hours preferred
- PsyPact participation or eligibility is a plus (when applicable)
- Active NPI number required

Receive live, hands-on Selective Mutism treatment training and impact the lives of children/teens suffering in silence. Criteria
- Licensed Mental Health professional and/or therapist
- Licensed Speech and Language or Occupational Therapist
- Current Doctoral or Masters-level students in any of the specialties listed above
- Educators
- Undergraduate students in the Psychology field with experience working with kids
Requirements
- Complete a web-based training
- Attend In-person training
- Attend orientation night with patients and their families
- Attend CommuniCamp™ in its entirety (8:30am to 3:30pm daily for 3 days)
- Required clearances
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA Criminal History Record
- FBI Background Clearance
Expectations
- Be excited to work with 3 to 17-year-olds using strategies and concepts learned at training!
- Work with a team of experienced counselors
- Complete daily progress notes
- Arrive on-time & remain on-site for the duration of the program
- Follow the required dress code
- Bring individuality, tons of energy & be ready to have fun!
- Earn a certificate of completion after CommuniCamp™
