Dear Families,
We wanted to give you an update regarding our practice and the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. As concerns continue to grow, know that the health and safety of our patients is our number one priority. We are closely monitoring the updates on the spread of the Coronavirus, including guidance by the CDC. We are taking all precautions to be proactive with infection control in our office, following the OSHA guidelines as well as all measures recommended by the CDC to protect your health.
At this point our office will operate as normal on a regular schedule. Of course, this can change based on government mandates, as this is a rapidly changing event. In the event we are asked to close our offices, we will contact you and try to reschedule your appointment in a timely manner and/or offer virtual (web-based) or phone training, coaching, & support options.
Know we are able to have separate wait areas for families to have personal space when here for an appointment. You will notice we have hand sanitizers at our front reception desk. Our employees have received communication about the importance of frequent hand-washing; the importance of not coming to work if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness; avoiding large crowds and physical contact. Our center is cleaned each day, with doorknobs and counters especially, being sanitized.
We also kindly ask that you if you or your child are not feeling well, please reschedule your appointment or consider a virtual meeting to help better protect our patients and staff.
Our ability to offer web-conferencing or phone support, training, and coaching at a time like this is a great alternative allowing us to maintain our monthly connection which is so important to treatment success.
We appreciate your understanding as we navigate through this unprecedented time together.
Thank you,
Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum and the SMart Center Team
